JOB TITLE: Payroll Accountant

Easytrack Payroll is a locally-owned company that offers high-quality payroll and advising services for small businesses. Our focus is on providing our clients with proactive, meticulous, reliable, and friendly service. We're a lot more than your run-of-the-mill payroll service, and it shows in our close relationships with our clients and partners.

The Team

Each person at Easytrack is an integral part of our team.  Together, we have grown the company on the foundation of two core values:

1. Continuous Growth and Evolution

The business world is constantly evolving and in this day and age, change is happening faster than ever.  It is our job to be the experts so that our clients don’t have to be.  We need to anticipate and integrate changes to create a smooth, uncomplicated experience for our clients.

2. People First

Payroll Accounting is inherently about numbers but Easytrack wouldn’t exist without the partnerships and relationships that we’ve developed and nurtured over the years.  The vast majority of our new clients come from referrals and that’s no accident.  Our partners recommend us because of the expertise we bring to the table but also because of the personalized service we provide to each and every one of our clients.

At Easytrack, we don’t just pay lip service to these values, we exemplify them.

Team members must have an innate hunger for learning, the ability to evolve and change, and the desire to grow both individually and as a company.

Members of the Easytrack team are representatives and ambassadors of the Easytrack brand.  Whether we’re working with business owners, bookkeepers, admins, CPAs, or brokers, everyone gets the same level of service and respect for which we’re known. A friendly, positive, people-oriented demeanor with a genuine desire for helping others is a must.

Why Join the Easytrack Team

The leaders at Easytrack foster a values-driven employee culture.

Brian (owner) and Brittany (VP of Operations) have been in the payroll game a long time – between the two of them they bring over 35 years of experience to the table – and they relish in sharing their knowledge and experience with members of the team.  They also appreciate that there is always room for growth and change; everyone at Easytrack has a voice. Members of the team bring varied experiences and knowledge to the table, and we genuinely enjoy learning from one another.

In addition to the knowledge one gains on a daily basis in the office, there are myriad continuing education opportunities available to Easytrack employees that allow them to grow and evolve.

Finally, we realize that there is life outside of Easytrack.  A work-life balance is important to us, and we make the effort to cultivate an environment in which that balance is a reality and not just a buzzword.  While we work hard in the office, we also make sure we have the time to play hard at home.

Few things are as rewarding as doing a stellar job helping someone with a complex problem and making their life easier. The tremendous thanks and appreciation we receive from our clients and partners make all of our work well worth it.

Payroll Accounting is unique in the variety of breadth and depth required to do a good job and get it right.  There is a lot more to it than most people think. Unlike other areas of accounting, such as tax, audit, and bookkeeping, payroll has many more facets, is connected to numerous other areas of business, and is rapidly changing on a continual basis.

Plus, we do a lot more than other payroll services.  We not only process payroll, but advise our clients on compliance issues and best practices, correct payroll errors from our client’s prior payroll services, and go the extra mile to help, such as setting up our client’s new state accounts for them.

We need to keep up to date with numerous regulations, including federal, multi-state and local tax jurisdictions, and areas such as rule changes in benefits like healthcare and retirement.  This requires a general understanding of accounting areas such as tax, internal audit (for finding and preventing errors), and payroll postings to general ledger, as well as the HR-related areas such as benefits, unemployment, and wage and hour laws.

You will receive a lot of education and mentoring and will get to continuously learn and grow in your career while having a wide variety of challenges and rewarding experiences. You’ll have a great feeling from your effort when a client or partner gives you those well-deserved kudos for making a big difference in their business and lives.

As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for helping with daily processing of payroll taxes; processing monthly, quarterly and year-end tax returns; special payroll accounting projects; assisting with the setup of new clients, backfilling supporting clients, and assisting with general administrative duties related to payroll.
